And while the touch screen is all but barely used, I didn't mind at all, simply because the game is such a pleasure to play. The levels are varied just like any other Mario game you have played, but the ability to go any direction in order to go back on the level and pick up items you may have missed is a welcome addition. Sure the Koopas and Goombas seem to look the same, but there is a certain familiarity that is almost reassuring. The colors of the strange looking worlds seem to really explode with bright hues. Something else about this game is the numerous different routes in which the games traverse with one another. For one thing, I felt that Mario moved with a more fluid pacing, running more like a real person might run. Super Mario 63 is a fanmade platformer glimmer game that is intended to join all the most renowned Mario platformers, specifically Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario 64 and to a lesser degree, New Super Mario Bros. The graphics on the DS are a step up from the original Nintendo's (for good reason) and I appreciated the subtle improvements. You can also hear much of the iconic audio from the original Super Mario Bros. It’s a fun new twist either way, and definitely worth trying out. Multiple people make some parts of the level easier, but can also make some parts harder.
